Sculpture for Kids:
Sculpture projects like paper mache animals, pipe cleaner creatures, mobiles, paper constructions, puppets, clay critters and pop up cars are explored. Dress to make a mess.

Realistic Sculpture for Teens/Tweens:
Working from drawing, and observation of human animal and abstract form, this course offers a comprehensive introduction to clay sculpture.

Realistic Drawing for Teens/Tweens:
Expand and develop your ability to draw realistically. Draw everyday objects and bring in your own pictures to reference for your drawings. Use various drawing tools such as; charcoal, conte, pastels, pencil, pen and ink, and mixed media. Create realistic drawings using lines and various methods of shading.

Painting with Pastels:
Discover painting with soft pastels. Learn how to prepare coloured painting surfaces, plan and apply an under painting, and how to use your pastels to create beautiful florals and landscapes. Materials required (approximately $80.00); a supply list will be provided at the first class.

Acrylic Creations:
This course will walk you through the basic skills you need to master. Learn brush handling and care, mixing colours and how to create gradients, paint simple geometric forms and plan/execute your own original acrylic paintings. Traveling Art Teacher:
Judith will come to you to teach painting and drawing lessons to community groups or individuals in suitable art creation settings.

Classroom Presentations:
Morning or afternoon step-by-step painting workshop. Covers many visual arts curriculum-based expectations. Topics may include:

Colour Theory/Mixing
Paint Application
Elements of Design
Art History

Enjoyable and fun step-by-step paintings instructions. Students take home finished painting. Lessons can be structured around specific classroom needs.

About the Teacher:
Judith A. Jewer is a Visual Artist. She has a B.A. in Art and Art History from McMaster University. Judith has been teaching art for many years. She has planned age appropriate projects and lessons to make learning art theory and process fun for students ranging in age from 5-85. With a proven ability to break down complicated projects into simple step by step instructions that the students can do and understand, Judith provides individual assistance, with a focus on teaching students the skills they need to make beautiful works of art.
